Our Plastic Pallet History

When evolving customer demands pushed the capabilities of wood pallets beyond their limits, plastic pallets began gaining in popularity. Fred Robinson, the founder of Robinson Industries, recognized this unique and growing opportunity over 60 years ago which allowed us to become a pioneer of reusable plastic in the mid 1900’s. We were the sole manufacturer of interior refrigerator doors during that time and from there moved into other industries such as automotive and electronics. We are also responsible for much of the technology and machinery that is still used in this industry today, such as the rotary thermoforming machine. And these are only a few of the reasons that Robinson Industries is recognized as an expert in the reusable plastic pallet business.
